Being a parent now for nearly sixteen years I can really understand the fine balance between toddler discipline, and squashing the spirit of a kid.

When my first child Ellie was born I was completely new with this thing termed parenting, and I discovered a lot of the parenting books to be contradictory at best and some just plain silly at worst. This may sound harsh for some new parents who are seeking a right path being a parent.

I can understand being a parent is a tricky business particularly when talking about discipline and specifically toddler discipline, if you opt for the free range strategy and simply let your kids kind of develop in the vain hope all will be fine, then you'll probably be living some sort of living nightmare, with your kid entirely dictating the agenda and totally running your life.
